Quarantine Length Reduced

(PDF, December 26, 2020) after an exposure to COVID-19 from from 14 days to 10 days. The new guidance applies to most people, including (PDF), and conforms with the .

Congregate settings can, at their discretion or at the direction of New York City or State oversight agencies, continue to adhere to a 14-day quarantine period for residents and staff of those facilities.

Xổ số hỗn hợp hôm nayHealth care personnel in hospital and direct care settings (such as primary care facilities) who have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 should not work while under quarantine, unless essential patient services are impacted and approval is granted by the State Department of Health. Health care personnel at nursing homes and adult care facilities — certified as Enhanced Assisted Living Residences or licensed as Assisted Living Programs — can discontinue quarantine after 10 days, but they may not return to work until 14 days have passed.

Offer COVID-19 Testing

Prioritize diagnostic testing for people who:

  • Have new symptoms of COVID-19
  • Were exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past two weeks
  • Attended a gathering of 10 or more people in the past two weeks

Consider regularly screening people who may have an increased risk for exposure to COVID-19 or of exposing others to COVID-19.
