MINDBENDER Uri Geller claimed on ITV last night to have stopped the French liner Renaissance by willpower in the middle of the Mediterranean. Geller, 27-year-old Israeli, was filmed in New York by a Thames TV unit for the first T V documentary to probe his claims.
He was seen in the company of Maria Cooper Janis/ wife of concert pianist Byron Janis.
She said she was aboard the liner with Geller when he concentrated on stopping the vessel. Fifteen minutes later it did stop because of a blocked pipe.
